FAQs

What does it mean to work in the music industry?

We encourage everyone in Alachua County’s music industry that needs help to apply. That includes musicians, audio engineers, composers, music teachers, promoters, booking agents, etc. We just ask that you live and/or work in Alachua County and have attempted to have earned some amount of your income from this work over the last six months.

What if I live in a neighboring county?

While we’d love to make sure you’re taken care of by this program, this money was raised in Alachua County for the musicians of Alachua County, and it’s important to stay true to the intention of the donors and keep those resources dedicated to members of that community. We encourage you to visit our Affordable Therapy Resource Guide to find other free and affordable mental health resources.
