The Upbeat GNV Musicians Therapy Scholarship
Can’t afford therapy due to the sheer expense, even with insurance? We’ve got you covered. We offer free therapy to musician and music industry personnel residing in Alachua County. Therapy sessions are offered through our provider partner Gainesville Community Counseling Center and are paid for by donations from the community.
Upbeat Unwind
It’s just like the cool hang with the band after practice, but without having to practice. Upbeat Unwind is a monthly get-together on the first Monday of every month at Curia On The Drag in Gainesville, FL from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., where musicians in Gainesville are welcome to get together and just — unwind together with no pressure to play and no pressure to network. Upbeat GNV Sober Buddy Program
You know what sucks when you’re sober? Having to play at bars all the time. For your next Gainesville show, try calling a sober buddy volunteer to join you. At your request, we will work with you to have a volunteer join you at your show and stand with you, act as an accountability partner and make sure you get through your night without incident and your sobriety streak intact. You can email us to make a request to have a Sober Buddy there for you at your next show.
