Affordable Therapy Resource Guide
Getting affordable help can be confusing.
Let us break it down for you.
Before you begin…
If you are currently experiencing a mental health emergency, please call the Alachua County Crisis Line at 352-264-6789 or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Para servicio en español, llame al 1-888-9454. These services are free.
If you are NOT a Gainesville, FL musician or resident, we HIGHLY encourage you to scroll to the bottom of our page to find resources that we have available for you. We have a full list of 24/7 national warmlines, which are phone numbers you can call free of charge any time to talk. These are NOT a substitute for talk therapy, but they can help get you someone to talk to to get you through a bad night on tour or at home.
You should also know…
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Therapy that works for one person may not work for another, and finding the right therapist is a personal and subjective decision. We encourage you to, if you didn’t feel like one therapy option did not work, please continue to try others until you find the one for you.
Therapists who practice in Gainesville are licensed by the state, so if you are a Florida resident and they also offer teletherapy, you should be able to work with any of the therapists listed by name below.
Unless listed as a partner elsewhere on our website, Upbeat GNV is in no way affiliated with the organizations and services listed below. Experiences will vary.
If you find an error, an outdated resource or are on our resource guide or are listed and want to be unlisted for whatever reason, you can email us at help@upbeatgnv.org to report an issue.

Local Support and Crisis Lines
The following are local telecounseling options that you can call whenever you’re in a time of need. Note: Warmlines may not be answered right away. Most warmlines request you leave a message.

Local Group Therapy
The following are options for people to obtain counseling in a group setting with peers. These groups may be free or may charge a fee. We have limited inclusion to groups that are $40 per session or under. Call to confirm per-session prices. Use the arrow to scroll the available options.
Resources for Anyone, Anywhere
The following are resources available to anyone, regardless of location. All state hotlines/warmlines included are free, available to anyone in the country and can be called 24/7. If they are not 24/7 lines or available to those out-of-state, they have been omitted. Use the drop down menu below to find resources that fit your needs! Touring? Try our 24/7 Warmline and Crisis Center Database. These are perfect for those late nights when you need someone to talk to for support. Therapy apps, included below, may also be an alternative to in-personal, local talk therapy. The monthly cost can sometimes be cheaper, depending on what your needs are, than weekly sessions, and can offer benefits like texting with your therapist.
